Ocean Network Express (ONE) is the 6th largest container ship operator worldwide, with a fleet of highly recognizable magenta vessels and containers. So when the Super GT series entrusted ONE to transport over 60 containers from Japan carrying everything needed for the Chang Super GT Race in Buriram, Thailand, the ocean carrier reached out to Lentus to document the event and produce high-quality content for its social media channels. From top-of-the-line racecars and their spare parts to all items used by the race teams, such as tools and even fuel, this delivery had to be on time with no room for error.
Given the complexity of event logistics and the time-sensitive nature of this shipment, ONE wanted to demonstrate its ability to make this operation a success. As such, Lentus was on hand to capture footage of the containers’ arrival at Laem Chabang Port, where we utilized our industry connections to gain behind the scenes access. Then, to follow the truck convoy on its 400 km police-escorted journey to the Chang International Circuit, we secured special permits allowing us to film using a series of cameras and drones and create some breathtaking shots.
Filming the event cargo’s entire journey from arrival, moving inland, and finally unloading at the racetrack took several days and a tremendous amount of coordination. The result of our efforts is a video that promotes ONE’s services and exhibits its professionalism in handling this type of delivery, but more than that, it tells the story behind the race that many people never get to see.
