Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), a family-owned company based in Geneva, Switzerland, is the 2nd largest container ship operator worldwide.
For over two decades, MSC has successfully operated in Thailand, during which time the company has seen organic growth and expansion, but it surpassed all its previous achievements in the land of smiles on July 30th 2020, when MSC Mina, an Ultra-Large Container Ship, arrived at Laem Chabang Port, becoming the largest container vessel ever to visit the country.
To mark this momentous occasion, MSC approached Lentus to produce a captivating video of the event and create native content articles to promote its new direct Thailand to the US West Coast “Lion-Jaguar” container service.
At a monumental 399.9 meters long, MSC Mina is not only the largest container vessel to berth in Thailand, but is in fact, one of the largest in the world. It is roughly the length of four football fields end to end, capable of transporting 23,656 TEUs, and is one out of eleven Gülsün Class vessels operated by MSC; the first container ships with the ability to fit 24 containers in width on deck.
Using our industry connections at the port, we shot some truly awe-inspiring footage and still images of the vessel’s arrival, which impressed MSC’s HQ enough to request our film to use on the company’s own social media channels.
